Intro to Yoga Mudra

Mudras: It is said, in Yoga philosophy and physiology, that the universe is made of a life force that flows through all things. It’s name is Prana. This life force moves out side of us but also expresses itself within us. How we breath, how we move, how we think and how we feel.

The most common way, in Yoga practice to move, shift and shape Prana is via the breath (Pranayama). But there are other deeper and subtle ways to manipulate this force. Through movement, through meditation and through Mudra.

Mudra are commonly known as hand seals, which can be used to move Prana in subtle and powerful ways.

In this workshop, Steve will explore some philosophy as to the HOW and WHY of Mudra.

We’ll also dive into some of the more common Mudras as well as some others that he has found to be profoundly powerful in his life.
